Am I being overcharged for car maintenance?

I just moved to Northern Virginia and in order to comply with safety and emissions standards I have to get my center brake light replaced, secondary air pump replaced and O2 sensor replaced on my 2001 GMC Jimmy. All this is being done at the local GMC dealer and they are charging me $1050. This sounds extrememly expensive to me, I just wanted the opinion of some that might be more knowledgeable about these things. They also wanted to charge me $1000 for rear brake pads and rotors, but I quickly said no to that one.

All dealers are way over priced and I definatly would try to find some one else to do this work. You can most likly pick these parts up at an outo wreckers and have a small shop to do the work if you are not able too. The sensor I would buy that new and If I`m not mistaken that is less than a $100. . Hope this helps you
