How do i get a job in this industry? writing/ reviewing cars?

Hello, im full time studying at uni at the moment.

but as a side cart thing, or even full time, id like to work for maybe a magazine? where i write/ test if needed cars, and review them.

how on earth do i even attempt to score such a thing?

i know im not going to be jeremy clarkson on my first day. but even for starting small, where? how?

  1. Step 1) Start your job search by applying to various magazines. If you do not have any experience in advertising, then it might be harder for you. So you might have to offer your services as an intern. If you have experience, then you can show them your past experiences in advertising and skills.

    Step 2) Read about magazine advertising if you do not know much about it. Get books on advertising strategies from your local library and study them before a job interview.

    Step 3) Ask your friends and family members to practice a mock interview with you. Ask them to ask you advertising and magazine industry questions so you will be prepared for any question in an interview.

    Step 4) Post your resume on advertising websites if you can. If you can find free posting sites, then it will be better for you. Craigslist. com allows you to post your resume in the ‘resume’ section for free.

    Step 5) Look through newspapers and other local papers that might have a jobs section in them. If you do not find any magazine advertising jobs there, then try job sites online where you can do a keyword search.
