How about a cheap electric car? They can be found! Here’s one – a Chinese import, gets a 200 mile range, 80mph top speed, sells for $28,500, but not available until next year:

Or a less-than-state-of-the-art used or converted EV. These can be had for as little as $5000. Not much range, but I have one like this. I use it for commuting. I get a 2. 5 cent/KWH EV charging rate where I live. I drive 1300 miles/month for about $8. In my Taurus that would be over $200 worth of gas.

Great documentary!!!
goverment and the oil companys theres been electric cars come and go for 20 years
Good question. Is it some kind of conspiracy? If so, why did these car companys bother making electric car in the first place?
The air is cleaner now than when it was 40 years ago because we now have better emission for our cars.
